"Wolcott Immigrants and Their Early Descendants (The First Six Generations)" published in 2002, which has the following (on page 64)
Appleton Burnham was born 28 Apr 1724 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut. Appleton died 3 Jan 1779 in Cornwall, Litchfield Co., Connecticut. He married Mary Wolcott 10 Nov 1753 in Cream Hill, Hartford Co., Connecticut. She was born 1 Jan 1730. Mary died 17 Jun 1823 in Cornwall, Litchfield Co., Connecticut." All of the children are then listed, followed by this note: "Mary also married (2) Jacob Brownson 6 Dec 1779 in Cornwall, Litchfield Co., Connecticut." Mary's parents are not identified, she is only mentioned as the wife of Appleton.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Burnham-132 and Wolcott-1203 appear to represent the same person because: The names match and Mary Wolcott's first husband had died a few months before Mary Burnham married Jacob Brownson, so she is probably the same woman
Burnham-132 and Wolcott-1203 do not represent the same person because: Different LNAB
I amend my above statement. These may be the same woman, but her correct LNAB should be Wolcott. If found to be true, Burnham-132 should have her LNAB changed to Wolcott and then the files merged. Given the statement by M. McMichael below there is some doubt as to her identity.
This is the same person per both the published Burnham and Wolcott family genealogies: Genealogical records of Thomas Burnham, the emigrant . . . and see "(4) Hannah Wolcott, b. 1684 Wethersfield CT, d. 1748 CT; m. Rev. William Burnham 1704 Wethersfield CT.". I have a hardcopy of the latest edition of "Wolcott Immigrants and Their Early Descendants (The First Six Generations)" published in 2002, which has the following (on page 64): Appleton Burnham was born 28 Apr 1724 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut. Appleton died 3 Jan 1779 in Cornwall, Litchfield Co., Connecticut. He married Mary Wolcott 10 Nov 1753 in Cream Hill, Hartford Co., Connecticut. She was born 1 Jan 1730. Mary died 17 Jun 1823 in Cornwall, Litchfield Co., Connecticut." Mary's parents are not identified, she is only mentioned as the wife of Appleton. I agree with M. McMichael that she was probably not the daughter of Roger and Sarah (Drake) Wolcott. The merge should be completed, with Wolcott remaining as her LNAB at birth, but she should be disconnected from Roger and Sarah.
Family histories indicate her LNAB was Wolcott. Her second husband was Jacob Brownson; however, her parents have not been identified. I hope they can be identified.
It is not likely that Roger and Sarah (Drake) Wolcott are her parents. They did not have a daughter by the name of Mary. They had a Marianne, but she did not marry a Burnham. I have searched for her parents and even wonder if perhaps her surname name was misspelled.
I amend my above statement. These may be the same woman, but her correct LNAB should be Wolcott. If found to be true, Burnham-132 should have her LNAB changed to Wolcott and then the files merged. Given the statement by M. McMichael below there is some doubt as to her identity.
