Annetje was baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church of Flatbush, New York, on February 24, 1684 (old-style date would be 1683/84, but the Dutch churches in New Netherland did not use the Julian calendar). She was recorded as a child of Elderd Lucasz and Stijntje Hendricks.[1]
She married Hans Bergen.
Her father's will of 23 February 1711 mentions her as Anne, wife of Hans Bergen. [2]

Lucassen is the only surname that Annetje appears with in records before taking her husband's surname. Though she was baptized without a surname, there is no record of Annetje using her father's first name as a surname. Elderts, Annetje's assumed patronymic, has been added to her first name field.
