Samuel Denny was born in Suffolk, England.

Samuel Denny was born on February 8, 1791 in Woodbridge, Suffolk, England and was baptised on June 11, 1793 at St Mary's Church in Woodbridge.[1] He was the fifth child of Jonathan Denny and Martha Cross.

Samuel married Sarah Sparke on February 9, 1819 in Suffolk.[2][3]

Samuel and Sarah had 11 children: Eliza Denny, Thomas Denny, Samuel Denny (died), Samuel Denny, Sarah Denny, William Sparke Denny, Jane Denny, George Thomas Denny, Charles Denny, Daniel Denny and Lois Denny.

He died at the family homestead he had hired (which had been left to his brother Thomas), in 1884, at the age of 93. His death was registered in the January - March quarter of 1884 in the Stow district.[8]

27 May. The Will of Samuel Denny late of Combs in the County of Suffolk Farmer who died 21 February 1884 at Combs was proved at the Principal Registry by Thomas Reeve Denny of Cedar House Lavender Hill in the County of Surrey Corn Merchant the Nephew one of the Executors.[9][10]

He was buried in St Mary Churchyard in Combs.[11]

Page 91, Person #93. SAMUEL DENNY born Feb. 8, 1791. Married, Feb 9, 1819, to Sarah Sparke, who died 1875. He was brought up as a farmer with his father, and at his death hired the homestead of his brother Thomas, and still resides there (1876). He died 1883. Children #303 - 312.
