If related to me on my fathers side, you are most likely a descendant of Marie Angelique Girard. She arrived in Biloxi, French Louisiana colony on Jan 8th, 1721 as one of the 88 woman and girls who volunteered to travel to the New France in America. WikiTree has some very useful features. I joined to find a place to load a project space that supports my brothers work regarding research he did on early French settlers. Specifically, he published a book about 88 French women who were sent to Biloxi in 1720 to marry the men settlers and military. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:The_Brides_of_la_Baleine My next project was to get one of my Franke relatives to take a DNA test that will help build ancestors along that line.
