Biography

Joanna was born about 1700. She passed away about 1765. [1]

Johanna Brockholes / Brokholst / Brockholst Baptism: 1700 Nov 06 Johanna; Anthony Brokholst, Susanna Schrick; sponsors Samuel Bayard, Maria Varleth wife of Willem Teller Sr. [2]

". . . married at Albany, May 2, 1681, CAPT. ANTHONY BROCKHOLST. This name was usually spelled Brockholes, but the Captain's autographs in the Secretary of State's office at Albany are written Brockholls, in the records of the New York Dutch Church it is Brockholst, Broeckholt, Brockholt, Brochols, Brochold, and Brokholes, while in the Surrogate's office it is written Brocholst and BROCKHOLST, which latter seems to have been the name preferred by his descendants".[1]

Frederick Phillipse was Judge of the Supreme Court, and held many high positions, and was one of the wealthiest men of his day. Joanna Brockholst survived her husband, and was killed by a fall from her carriage on the Highland estate.

Brockholes-6 and Brockholst-3 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, just one using older version of the name. Children will all have to be merged also!
