Note: The present Utrecht, capital of the Province of same name in Holland; spelled Uytegt by van Leeuwen, and Vtrecht by Blaeu (1667), the letters U and V having been used interchangeably in early times.

His wife shall have the whole estate for life, if unmarried. If she should marry, only one half of the property, the other half to go to the children; Coenraedt, Gertie, Anna, Jacobus, Jenneke, Tekla, and after her death, all to go to the children.
My son Coenraedt shall have my land called Wassemaker's land, with the 4,000 schepels of wheat, and if his inheritance should not be large enough, my wife may dispose of sufficient for the purpose, except that all what is over 1,000 schepel of wheat shall belong to her.
My paternal inheritance in the old country shall be equally divided, but my youngest daughter, called Tekela, shall have, in advance, 100 hollandish gulden.
1699 Nov 30 Will proved by John Hendrix of Kingston before Justices of the peace: John Ward and John Herrmans. All witnesses not being present, I have moved to the widdow and relict of said Jacobus Elmendorf & his heirs, vis. Coenraedt Elmendorp, Mattyse Wynkoo, husband of Gaertie Elmendorp, [Elmendorp-5|Jacobus Elmendorp]] and Jenneke Elmendorp, whom answered they approved of it.

The Kingston Reformed Dutch Church was the central repository for all records of marriages and baptism conducted by circuit-rider Domines throughout Ulster and Orange counties of NY; Sussex County, NJ, and parts of Pike County, PA, until local churches were built and staffed. This occurred between 1735 and 1745 depending on the area.
