Hi Davey,

I have just added a profile for Charles Sagar (Sagar-138) who was a professional footballer in late 1800/early 1900, who married into my husbands Brooks family. He played for Bury and joined Manchester United in 1905. He was capped for England twice once against Ireland and once against Wales. I have included him in the category for Professional Footballers but not sure if he qualifies to join your illustrious category of International Footballers. Can you take a look and let me know or feel free to edit yourself. I have done all the basics and included a short paragraph about his career but football is not really my thing. regards Jean

Hi Jean,

Yes indeed. I have added him to the category. He appears here on another site I edit: https://www.englandstats.com/player.php?pid=250

I can add a bit more information about him. I believe he liked being called Charlie, stood 5ft 11½ inches and was 11st in 1903. He won the FA Cup twice in 1900 & 1903. I have a picture of him if you'd like me to add that?

Thanks for getting in touch.

Hi Davey. Perhaps we are related. I see you have a family relative under Naylor who lived in Yorkshire. My dad's family go back 400 years still in Yorkshire. Sorry so not eloquently put. Anyway, Jayde.

Hi!!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz! Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. Joining the community How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

I recommend for your profiles England Project, leaders are Maria Maxwell, and Suzie MacLeod. Suzie MacLeod also leads the creation and history of England Counties if you are interested.

After joining a project, please add a project tag to your page to receive updates.

Hi Davey,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had a chance to review any of it, was it helpful?

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, I'm here to help. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

PS Did you discover that the surname tags on your profile are clickable links? Each will take you to a page of other people who research the surname and a bunch of links which might be helpful. You can add more surname tags, up to 20 total

We are delighted to welcome you to the WikiTree community!

You have been confirmed as a full member. Please start with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time and energy as you add profiles.

P. S. I see that you are following the Lythe, Naylor, and Shears surname tags. By clicking on the tags you follow, you can see which other members share your interests. You may find a long-lost cousin!
