Biography
Walter Alun Lloyd was born about 1880 in Mold, Flintshire, Wales, United Kingdom.[1] His parents were John Lloyd (~1828 - 1900) and Jane Williams (~1837 - ).
Walter married Sarah Jones (~1883 - 1961). Their child was Lall (Lloyd) Halliday (1910s - 2000s).
In 1881 (aged ~1), Walter was living at Maesgarmon in Mold - Hendrebiffa Gwernaffield Broncoed with his parents, John (53) and Jane Lloyd (42); his siblings, Llewelyn (17), Mary Elizabeth (14), Janet (12), Sarah (10), John (8), Edwin (7), Arthur Evan (6), and Jane (3); Ellen Cunnah (44) (a visitor); and three servants: Mary Ann Williams (13), John Hughes (18), and Joseph Griffiths (18).[2]
In 1891 (aged ~11), Walter was living in Hendrebiffa with his parents, John (63) and Jane Lloyd (52); his siblings, Llewelyn (27), Janet (22), Sarah (20), John (18), Edwin (17), Arthur Evan (16), and Jane Myfanwy (13); a visitor, Miriam Ellis (51); and a servant, Peter Wigley (52).[3]
In 1901 (aged ~21), Walter was living in Mold with his mother, Jane (62); his siblings, Janet (32), Sarah (30), John (28), Edwin (27), and Jane (23); and four servants: Richard Price (60), John Peter Price (21), William Price (15), and Edward Thomas (20).[4]
In 1911 (aged ~31), Walter's occupation was 'Farmer's Son'. He was living at Maes Garmon Mold in Mold with his mother, Jane (72), his sister, Jane Myfanwy (33); and servants: Samuel Price (70), Robert Williams (26), Edwin Jones (43), William Price (26), Sydney Smith (18), and Sarah Dowell (31).[5]
Walter married Sarah Jones (~1883 - 1961) in Liverpool in 1914.[6]
Walter died in 1961 in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand aged ~81.
