1844 Burgherbriefs.
1846 Living at 2, Hill St, Christiansted (owner), a merchant and 2nd lieutenant aged 32. Living with William, Julia and Anna Behagen, and James and Peter Schuster. [1]
1850 Living at 2, Hill St, Christiansted with WG Behagen, Mrs Behagen, Louis and George Jr
1855 Living with wife and children in Christiansted
1857 Living with wife and children in Christiansted at 14 Church St, a merchant age 43. Also living there were James (50) and Louis (19) Behagen.
1860 Living on Constitution Hill property with wife Oxalina and their children. [2]
Research Notes
Other children: Louis (2) and Rose (4) Behagen were living in Christiansted in 1841 with their mother (who was not a Behagen) in the house of Elizabeth English. Were they his children? Louis is with him in two later census records. [3]
