Greetings Poland Project member! Thank you for your interest in the Poland Project. We have new information and updates:
The Poland Project is a collaborative environment for others to preserve their family history. For the last several months, the Poland Project has been undergoing new organization with new volunteers. We are excited about how the project can enhance Wikitree!
We have several different task teams that need volunteers. Please take a look at this page to see which one interests you: Volunteer Tasks. Once you have decided which task team you would like to work on, please reply to this comment.
The only requirements for ongoing membership in the Poland Project are that you join a team, work with your Team Leader, respond to the periodic check-ins from the Project Leaders/Coordinators and help the Project satisfy its goals. We recognize that people lead busy lives and are grateful for any and all contributions you can make.
Once you have joined a team, please join the Poland Project Google Group to receive project updates and participate in project and team discussions.
If we don’t hear from you in the next 45 days, your membership badge will be removed. In this case please don't be offended as you're welcome to rejoin at any time. Please also note, that in order to receive help researching your Polish ancestors, membership is not mandatory. Just ask your questions in the G2G forum and tag them with Poland_Europe or Polska in order for our knowledgeable researchers to see them.
Hi Allison, happy to find you on WikiTree, thanks for all your work. We are half 4x1 cousins via Levi Gates; your grandmother is my grandmother's half-2nd cousin once removed; her grandmother Cynthia (Gates) Mix was Levi's daughter. I and much of my mother's family live near where Levi ended up; my grandmother is still living.
We are 24nd cousins (once removed). We share an ancestorKing Philip (Philip II) "King of Germany (1177-1208). (WikiTree ID: Hohenstaufen-1). He is your 26th g-grandfather and my 24th.
Please, check him out by running my profile in the relationship finder in your profile menu to verify.
Be sure to select "SEARCH 30 GENERATIONS." Then, you'll see the search gets even better. We also share 42 other common ancestors, listed in the gold bordered box on the search page.
Because the monarchy married internationally, you will find many other monarchs who are also your ancestors from England, France, Spain, etc.
I hope this may give you many more ancestor trees and ancestors to explore and add to your own family tree.
You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?
We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.
Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.
Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.
Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.
This is just a note to say hello and to let you know that I'm available to answer questions about WikiTree. To contact me, click the link to my name, then send a private message or post a comment on my profile page.

P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
The Poland Project Coordinators: Skye, Tina & Maggie
Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.
I see you have joined the Polish Project. Thank you.
You also have Germany listed as a location for some ancestors. Here is the link if needed: German Roots Leader is Jacqueline Clark.
If any questions, just ask.
Thank you
Mary ~ Pre-1700's Greeter
