Biography

Flag of Suffolk (adopted 2017)
James Easlea was born in Suffolk, England.

James Easlee was born to John Easlee and Sarah Hales in 1787. He was baptised on May 27, 1787 in Ashfield, Suffolk, England.

James may have married Sarah Canber on October 11, 1811 in Wetherden, Suffolk.

Research Notes

1841 Census indicates that James is a widower with three children:

  • James Easlea Male 50-54 Suffolk
  • Sarah Easlea Female 27-31 Suffolk (bap) 1 Sep 1812 Wetherden, St Mary to James and Sarah
  • Susan Easlea Female 25-29 Suffolk
  • John Easlea Male 23-27 Suffolk

As Sarah is the oldest child, I researched the births and found a baptism date of 1 Sep 1812, which would fit with James marrying Sarah Canber in 1811.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with James by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with James:
