Hello Aurora! We’re putting out a call to all past USBH Connecting Challenge participants. We are only a few thousand profiles away from meeting our goal of 50,000 new profiles for 2021. I hope you’ll be able to join us by adding some new profiles in December. They sign up post is here:
Thank you for your participation in October 2020’s Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.
Thanks for all the work you accomplished during our Connect-A-Thon 2020. It is amazing how many more profiles were created and added to our Shared Tree. You have every right to be pleased with your efforts!
I am a daughter of a Howard that has been DNA matched back to John Lazarus Howard. I am confident that this line continues back to the Howard’s of Surrey in England. I want to join the Howard group in hopes of finding a DNA link to these ancestors.
Hey cousin. I sent you an email with "relationship to me" information. I also added you on the trusted list of Ferdia Lucille (Howard) Turner. If you want to be added as manger I can do that too just let me know.
Hi, Aurora, and thanks for all the contribs on Moffitt and Davis (Mary Davis) and the suggestion of the merging. The problem, though, right now, is with a couple of obvious conflicts of info. The other Mary Davis, supposedly born in 1750, could not possibly have had the marriages mentioned, especially as one is supposed to have occurred before another to Moffitt in 1763! Also, I have never read anywhere about the marriage previous to Moffitt marriage. How can we reconcile some of this stuff? I notice that this profile, with birth date for Mary Davis of 1750, was created with one of those ged sites, and I find they often carry a lot of obvious error if one only gets down to checking with Find a Grave and/or censuses, etc.
I am really excited to have joined this site. We have not been able to connect any dna matches from ancestry or Geni but thanks to the information on here we have several matches already.

Hi Aurora & welcome to Wikitree! I am a Howard by marriage & I have been working to solve a Howard family mystery. Whenever u have time I would like to discuss & see if we could help each other with info. It is so helpful to compare notes with others researching same surname, thats something I enjoy about Wikitree!
in my browsing around and looking at various families i think i have seen at least 3 Enos Howards. at leas 1 is descendant of Matthew Howard Sr 1609. eventually i will get all these sorted out. there are about 20 to 40 given names that seem to be in common use in 1600s to early 1900s, like James, John, Robert. and others a little less so. they didn't have all the resources we have today. things like pamphlets were common but they were information of limited distance.
