Departure 1908 Bombay, Maharashtra, India.

Note: On the 17th August 1908, George's parents both died of cholera while stationed at Billary Bellary (Karnataka) in India. They were interred at Billary on 18th August 1908. Lilly was at the time recovering from giving birth to William Harold Major (b 1/81908) who later also died of cholera on 23rd Aug 1908. George was sent back to Halifax, England, where he was adopted by his grandfather, whom he lived with. RIN: MH:N49.
