I tried to add William Martin Loftus, Loftus-570, as the father of my grandfather John William Loftus but wikitree says I am not on a "Trusted List" - whatever that means.
As you "manage" my great grandfather's wikitree entry, is there some action point that I require you to do so I can add my g grandfather as my grandfather's father?
In my experience Wikitree is not a user friendly website as it limits the ability to add family to my tree unless I have created a profile before anyone else, and therefore have the necessary permission to add members to the tree.
Would be nice to connect my family with my family.
Best regards Vanessa
Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
I hope this helps! If you have any questions or problems, let me know.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Welcome to Wikitree! Good to see another member with an interest in Australia on the site. Perhaps you might like to join our Australia Project to help us improve the Australian content on Wikitree!
Ask questions and keep updated in the G2G Forum by adding the tag Australia when you post a question.

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.
It looks like the Australia Project would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag Australia will help you get updates about activity for that project.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Wow great start, were the Member How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?
Clicking your green tags shows members who follow that tag. Add tags other family surnames, for locations add a tag for AUSTRALIA. The tags link you to the community sourcing & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.
We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful.

Thanks for volunteering! You are now an active member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family.
I suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Building your family tree on WikiTree will help you connect with others who have the same ancestors.
Need help? Just ask!
