Interesting bio! I wonder if we are a DNA match. It says your GEDMatch kit is not there so I cannot check. But we have something in common - I quit working in the legal field and started a residential framing company. All three of my children worked for me at one time or another, including my girl child. She was my "cut man." I had to learn everything from scratch from a friend but soon learned the ropes - how to layout, cut, all that stuff! I sure miss those days!

A few years ago I was in touch with Bill Massey from the Musgrave line we traded info and sent me a picture of two Musgrave Confederates from Tennesee. I assume he is a relative of yours?

Thank you Ann for merging Lavina L Humphrey-9539 to 8886. I was hesitant to merge because of a problem with a different relative Drusilla James Claycomb (james-18675) that was merged with another profile and brought in parents that I do not believe are correct and a sibling Walter James who i researched and found had different parents so knew he was not correct either. all I knew to do was edit the new profile to show "uncertain"

I am a real doubting thomas because I fell prey to the fraudulent connections to the Royals when I was first putting our family history together 15 years ago. so happy I found WikiTree! I am not a trained genealogist, just fascinated with were i come from. Thank you, Margaret Finch Locke (great great granddaughter of Lavina L Humphrey)

Hello Anne, I see that you do a lot of work to complete merges, and I thank you for your efforts. However, I do ask that you follow the instructions on the merges. This prevents me from having to wrap around and fix the issues.

• On Rachel Mary (Burrell) Blacketer (1747-bef.1820), you disregarded the request to make the surname Unknown, and based the surname on an unsourced Familysearch profile, as you stated in an email to me. Now I have had to request to join the Trusted List to fix it.

• On Margaret Sally (Stewart) Edwards (1777-bef.1850), you disregarded the request to state why you selected one mother over the other, and then retain the other mother's information in Research Notes. Now I can't find the other mother.

• On Dempsey Griffin (abt.1766-abt.1823) there was a complicated situation with a mother and son that needed to be sourced or detached, but I don't see any further action on your part during the merge to resolve the discrepancies. Now that they're merged it's very difficult to reconstruct the issues and fix them.

G'day cuz! (No, I'm not Australian, I just like "g'day"). Just wanted to personally thank you for completing the merge of Mary and Marry and the post-merge cleamup. As for "cuz", well, we are. When I saw Hall in your profile, I had to run the relationship check because there are Halls way back in my ancestors. That's not the connection, but a 17th g grandmother of yours is a 16th great grandmother of mine. Thanks, again, for completing the merge!
