Biography
Heather Stevens is a member of the Australia Project.
Heather Stevens is a member of the Australian Convicts Team.
I like the collaborative nature of Wikitree and have enjoyed adding my family trees, searching for resources, and building biographies.
I always try as much as possible to use primary sources. For example, pre-1856 NSW births, deaths and marriages can be looked at easily and quickly in public libraries - it's a shame that many researchers do not do this.
One of my current projects is the profile of the bushranger Jack Donohoe (abt.1806-1830). My interest in him stems from my ancestors Mary O'Hara and her grandmother Mary O'Brien who were transported to Moreton Bay thanks to him!
I am also working on the biography of Francis MacNamara (abt.1811-1861), who was known as "Frank the Poet".
I have contributed to the profiles of Charlotte Badger, the so-called "woman pirate", and Billy Blue known as the "Old Commodore", a "well-known character about Sydney".
I would like to work on First Fleet profiles when I get the time! I also take photos for Findagrave and Monument Australia. Some profiles:

Nearly all of John's profile was written by Mark Rogers in 2019. You can see the changes that Mark made from the "Changes" tab in his profile.
I moved the bit about Jan Felix Bezemer, born in the Netherlands into Research Notes, as I felt it needed confirmatory evidence. So you are welcome to add what you know about him and make changes to his profile. You may like to adopt his profile.

I have recently joined Wikitree in search of family history. I am now interested in 3rd fleet arrivals and the Morgan family of Denbigh / Cobbitty. I would like to connect with you and learn more about the family. In particular the Ann (nee Collins) Morgan and her daughter Sarah Cantrill - Meyers who travelled to Ipswich. The living conditions and how they travelled such distances is intriguing. I want to make the connection between their resillience and life in harsh conditions. I look forward to hearing from you.
