Biography

Frederick Llewellyn Jones was born October 10, 1927 to Leslie Evelyn Jones and Margaret Tatham in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Fred married Joan Winnifred Gilhen (daughter of Ernest John Gilhen and Lily Charlotte Rowe) on April 25, 1952 at the Christ Episcopal Church, Seattle, King County, Washington, United States.

Fred and Joan had two children.

Sadly, Joan died in Victoria on June 8, 1994. Fred married again to Patricia Clara Dunderdale (nee Gibson) on February 19, 1997 in Victoria. They combined their families and moved on with their lives.

Fred died February 3, 2018 at the age of 90, living all his life in Victoria.

Obituary: The family is sad to announce the passing of Fred at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his first wife Joan (1994) and brother Wilf (2012). Fred was born and lived all his life in Victoria, retired from Yarrows Shipyard, enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, fishing, feeding the birds and puttering around his home. He will be dearly missed by us all.
