Research Notes
In the Register of Sts-Anges de Lachine, there are two Burial Records at two different dates for the same person.. Suzanne Mouflet, Marie's sister. This Suzanne married Vincent Henry Laforge in 1710. She would have died 20 Sep 1756. [3] Suzanne can't have been buried two times... The other record, 29 Sep 1757, is probably for Marie, since she was alive in Jan 1757 and died before Feb 1759. [4]

can i add something about a story that i found or heard Marie Mouflet – How did she survive? Why did she return?
Anne’s sister, Marie, also escaped death in the Lachine massacre as did another sister, Marie-Suzette.
Their story of survival, however, remains a mystery. Were they, too, taken captive by the Iroquois and
released a year later like their sister Anne? Or was Marie spared in another way?
Please do not change details unless you have a Source. This name is the recorded name in the Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967. It is also registered in the Dictionnaire généalogique des familles canadiennes (Collection Tanguay), 1608 à 1890.
