Hello again! I posted a comment two weeks ago and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well! Do you want to remain in the Germany Project? If I don’t hear back from you by the end of November, I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, always welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes, Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi! yes I'd like to remain a member. Mostly I focus on two specific villages in Germany - Gimmeldingen (Rheinland-Pfalz) and Schelklingen (Wuerttemburg) and I haven't seen anyone else work on those places so I'm not sure if there should be a project for them? Or if I should just keep working on them alone.

Thanks for responding JP. We're happy to have you stay with us!

We don't have sub-projects/teams for specific villages, but we do have teams for Rheinland-Pfalz and Baden-Württemberg. Keep up the good work in those places and feel free to use the resources on the team pages to help you.

Hi Jill

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because Pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use thePre-1700 Projects list to see if there are any others that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Review the project pages to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know by using the "reply" link under my comments or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

Thank you for signing the Honor Code, Jill.

I see that you have had your DNA tested, congratulations! Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to continue adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, try a different one. 24 hours after you connect to an existing profile, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.

One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.
