Bonjour,mon cher ami David, I'm Mr.Derlin Gerard Clair.My dear sir, you Posted back on Jul 12,2018 about my Maternal 2X Great-Grandmother,Miss Rose Dazet that"Rose Dazet,12,together with Marie Dazet,15,& Jeanne Marie Dazet,applied for a Visa".Apparently,they were getting ready to immigrate from France,i imagien.Then below some Website,maybe in France from which you obtained this Information,you made this Comment"They are on their way to New Orleans.Ship Hansa from Lubeck,Captain Schutt."One question,mon ami?My ancestress,Rose Dazet from southern France in the Gers Department.Why,then would she take a ship form Lubeck,Germany to immigrate to New Orleans,Louisiana,USA?Being in southern France,near the Pyreenees,it would seem that the nearest port to immigrate from would be Bordeaux,France,my dear David.Did she maybe take a German ship to go to New Orleans instead of a French one,because she was an Huguenot(French Protestant)perhaps?Did a lot of the French ships back in the 1850's maybe refuse to take on any Protestant passengers perhaps?So is that the reason that Rose Dazet took a German boat to go to New Orleans on?Sorry if I,m bothering after all these years,mon ami.It's just that it seems kind of strange that a southern French person would take a German ship,the Hansa to sail to New Orleans,instead of a French one?Well,merci beaucoup,mon cher ami David,and God blless you.
