Étienne Mariette was a Huguenot emigrant (1540-1790).

Biography

Étienne was born about 1711. "The name would properly be Mairet or Mairot, a surname found in Breviliers, Héricourt and Étobon. In this case, Brevilliers seems most likely the place of origin."

He was married to Marie Unknown and they "emigrated to Nova Scotia in the Pearl in 1752." He marries second, Anna Catherine Boutilier (1723 - 1796). They were married at St John's Anglican, Lunenburg, on 1 Jan 1756. Étienne's first wife, Marie Died shortly after their arrival in 1753. In reviewing Punch's information for the Boutillier family.

He passed away in 1784. "His will was dated August 23, 1784, and proved November 8, 1784. He died between those dates."

Find A Grave: Memorial #136587411 Saint John's Anglican, Lunenburg, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada. This memorial states that Étienne married Anna Catherine Boutilier (1723 - 1796). This Find a Grave memorial is a conflation of both Father Éteinne and son Étienne and should be viewed with great care. Etienne was born before 1748. He passed away after 1768.

Mariette-21 and Mariette-18 appear to represent the same person because: The duplicate profile, although having the same spellings did not show in searches prior to creating the duplicate profile, nor did it appear when creating the profile. After the creation of the duplicate, a search for matches to the profile showed that I had created a duplicate. Apologies.
