Biography

John Kendall was born in 1555 in Earls Colne, Essex, England. His father was Unknown Kendall. He married Susan Unknown in c1576 Together they had 8 children:

  5. Thomasin Kendall
  6. Richard Kendall
  7. John Kendall
  8. William Kendall

1579 he was charged with cutting oak in the park without a license, [1]

1584 he was a decener (commanding ten men, military context)[2]

1587 he took out a 10 year rental on a farm in Colne from George Cressener[3]

1589 He was noted for suspicion of incontinent life with his brother Thomas Kendall's wife he appeared and denied the accusation and was warned to undergo further process and answer the articles of the accusation against him at the next court the churchwardens cited to appear at the next court.[4] The case was later dismissed.

1592 he was licensed to keep an ale house[5]

He died before 14 Jan 1600/1[6]
