NOTE - Project Protected Status

Please do not send me messages asking why a profile is project protected. If you see no apparent reason, you have my FULL permission to remove it. I was a supervisor / leader on WikiTree when the feature came out, but that was NOT the original intent of the feature. It blocked you from merging Smith-1 into Smith-12345 so once I determined the lowest LNAB-X I would lock it. They reallocated the feature later to project protection status. I have not removed all of the locks.

NOTE - Family History Questions

Unfortunately, unless it is a CLOSE - maybe my grandparents - family relationship, I have no information that is not on WikiTree profiles. WikiTree is almost exclusively where I document my family history notes. I do put random thoughts and rabbit trails in the COMMENTS sections on profiles when I am hunting down things. It if isn't on the profile or on the comments section, I don't have the information, unless it is my grandparents, parents, siblings, spouse, kids, etc.

Hi!

I'm working through pre-1776 Virginia profiles that are protected but are not managed by a project/displaying a project box (DBE 921: PPP Without Project Account and without Project Box).

I just started on this & I've already edited several profiles that you manage & which were "locked" in the early days of the project-protected profile (PPP) banner, before the current criteria for a profile to be PPP and the requirement for a project to be a manager and the corresponding project box displayed.

If you check your Family Activity Feed, you'll see the ones I changed (and future ones). If there are any you think still need to be protected because of disputes about the spelling/styling of the LNAB or family relationships, please fill out the form requesting US Southern Colonies Project to be manager (linked from the project page - one of the tabs is to Space:US_Southern_Colonies_Managed_Profile_Requests, which has a link to the form.

A couple of the profiles I reviewed seem to qualify for PPP & I posted a comment about retaining it on them. I know that you were the manager of one of them - possibly more. For it/them, you can just reply to my comment & I'll take it from there.

Cheers, Liz

I posted several days ago about the Parsons family of West Virginia, but I think we may have another connection. The Kerbys of North Georgia. Are you still researching the family of Rev. Bailey Kerby? I am a descendant, and I would like to add some biographical information, sources, and link up family members.

Thanks, Jason

Hi there! Are you still actively researching the Parson family of West Virginia?

Hello,

As one of the co-leaders of the European Aristocrats project, I'm messaging to inform you that we are removing the "House Assignments" from our project structure. You are absolutely still welcome to work on the profiles from the families that you chose, we are simply removing the official House Assignments as, for the most part, people choose to work on whichever profiles interest them. We're glad to have you in the project and we hope that you continue to work with us!

Hi Lindsay, can you please remove the Project Protection Status from Thomas Burchfield. I don't see an option to remove it. He was created after Burchfield-38 and needs to be merged. I am a direct ancestor and have added sources to both profiles. Thank you so much.

Hi Lindsay! I saw that Ann Spilsby is project protected but has neither a project box nor project account. This is showing up in the Data Doctors report. It seems either the PPP should be removed or the project box and account added. Your thoughts?

Lindsey, glad that my comments helped. I was most likely working on profiles that had errors in Georgia and I'm not actually related to Elizabeth. I've updated my research notes on the profile. Sorry I'm not more help.

Hi Lindsay! I removed PPP from Martin-7148, but because of the comment you posted, I figured I'd better let you know.

John Wyatt who married Jenny Pamplin had son, Colonel Richard Wyatt (of the famous "tore up the family coat of arms" story--which might be true but is inaccurate, among other things you'll find that his coat of arms DOES NOT MATCH Sir Henry Wyatt's coat of arms), who married both Amy Chiles and Elizabeth Streshley.

John who married Jenny Pamplin also had (among others) Lucy Wyatt who married Captain David Mills; also the Anne Wyatt who married Colonel John Starke; also the William Wyatt who married Elizabeth Eggleston; and the John Wyatt who married thrice: Elizabeth Anne Smith, Anne Hart Starke, and an unknown woman, possible last name Marshall, who would be my 5th-great-grandmother.

Kindest regards, Robert Wyatt

PS, my Y-DNA does match descendants of those lines.

I'm Wyatt-1882, descended from the Major William Wyatt.

The John Wyatt who married the daughter of Rice Jones is the son of Major William Wyatt, 1630-1683, m. Rachel Smith, daughter of Alexander Smith. Major William Wyatt also married Anna Jackson, 1630-1690. http://www.jstor.org/stable/1915003?seq=1#page_scan_tab_contents

Major William Wyatt married Rachel, daughter of Alexander Smith.

He had a son, John Wyatt, who married Anne Jones, daugher of Rice Jones and Ann Margaret Griggs.

This John had a son John Wyatt who married Jennifer Ann Pamplin, daughter of Nicholas Pamplin and Sarah Roane.

Hi Lindsay! I'm working on reviewing a Magna Carta trail that goes through Jane (Wyatt) Scott - Wyatt-180. I need to remove the "User Group" notice, but will leave the Wyatt category.

Hope that's ok! The Magna Carta project account will be added as a manager. Let me know if you'd like to join the Magna Carta Project Google Group (which is tied to the project account that will be added as a manager).

Cheers, Liz

Hi Lindsay. Sorry to trouble you. There are a couple of messages for you on the following profile that you manage.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wynne-74

The problems on the profile appear to be caused by two Robert Wynn's being mixed up into one profile. Can you either take a look yourself or confirm if you are happy for me to make significant changes.

I am in NNS group. Could I join in the search for accurate work on John and Elizabeth Crawford Stout. My sources are Nathan Stout, John Stilwell. I have entered the children from Stilwell but the ones connected at incorrect. Both sources say that Penelope married a Sutphen. Hardman-759
