There are only two publications that study the Paddock family history, but they did not mention Robert Holmes of Milton Keynes, as follows:
Because those two works did not establish the parentage of Robert Holmes of Milton Keynes, they did not imply any relationship between Robert Holmes of Milton Keynes and Lawrence Holmes of Milton Keynes.
The public or private family trees on Ancestry.com are where Robert Holmes is mentioned; sadly, there is no citation for him there. They assert that Robert Holmes was Lawrence Holmes' father, but they provide no evidence to back up their claim.
According to our research, he should be removed from any public or private Ancestry.com family trees and FamilySearch.org family trees.
Our investigation will look into whether or not the death or burial date is a real event. It will also investigate whether the baptism document might be linked to Robert Holmes, the supposed father of Lawrence Holmes of Milton Keynes. It will look into the Milton Keynes records to find the actual burial event in the following links: Bishop's transcripts for Milton-Keynes, 1575-1829 and Parish registers for All Saints Church, Milton-Keynes, 1559-1893 on FamilySearch.org.
Otherwise, our analysis could conclude that this lineage is bogus.
A Robert Homes, son of Robert, was baptised in Milton Keynes in 1562 in the following link: baptism record on FindMyPast.co.uk. (Registration and subscription are required to access the record.)
