Biography
Ann (Maud) Horsley was born in Yorkshire, England.
Ann was baptised in 1830 in Howden, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of John and Mary Maud.[1]
Ann married John Horsley in Howden, Yorkshire, in 1849.[2][3] In 1851 John lived in North Newbald, Yorkshire, with his aunt and uncle, Ann and Richard Turner.[4] Ann lodged in Howden with her parents.[5]
In 1861 the family lived in Howden, Yorkshire, where John was a blacksmith.[6] By 1871 the Horsleys had moved to Hook, Yorkshire.[7][8][9] In 1901 the family lived in Goole, Yorkshire, and John had become a railway porter.[10]
