Biography

James Cocker was born to William & Charlotte (Barlow) Cocker during the first quarter of 1853 in Lancashire.

In 1871 he was living with them and seven siblings at Streetgate, Little Hulton, Bolton, Lancashire,

He married Eliza Bate during the second quarter of 1874 at Bolton in Lancashire.

By 1881 he was aged 28 and working as a master joiner in partmership with his brother and they were living with thee children and his mother in law at 430, Manr Road, Little Hulton, Bolton.

By 1891 when he was aged 38 and show working as a Joiner & Builder they were living with six children and a Niece Eliza Grundy a 17 year old domestic servant at Joiners Shop, Walkden Road, Worsley, Barton upon Irwell,
