Brant - has been a tireless and authoritative help in developing our family genealogy from its base in West Feliciana Parish of Louisiana. Our family came there via a Spanish land grant and developed a plantation approximately bordered by US61 (west), Mississippi/Louisiana border (north) and the West Fork of Thompson Creek. ( East and south)

Hi Brant, When adding my uncle's name to my profile, you name info popped up. I am looking to info on Donald Cudmore, born 1926 in Brantford, Brant Co, Ontario, Canada, and may have died in 1933. He is the brother of my father William Elgin Cudmore born 1931. Thanks, Rick Cudmore

"Are you managing the site for Kay Showalter? I appear to be related to her thru the Harshman clan....brant casford"

I'm sorry for the late reply, Brant. Yes, I am managing Kay Showalter's entry. I don't think I remember seeing the last name, Harshman. Can you let me know the relationship? Thanks. -Alex Showalter

Here it is; your and Kay's most recent common ancestors are Jeremiah Gilbert (Gilbert-1794 ) and Zipporah (Powell) Gilbert (Powell-8022), from Frederick, Maryland. They're Sophia (Gilbert) Harshman's grandparents, making them, I think your 4G grandparents. They're Kay's 3G grandparents, which would make you and Kay 4th cousins, 1 time removed.

Hi Brant

Back on the main computer now

here is the link I mentioned http://www.isle-of-wight-fhs.co.uk/index.php you can look for birth marriages and deaths gives you enough info to go and look elsewhere you have more access if you are a member.

Simply type in the surname.Found over a hundred reference to Casfords.

See Also this page from the England project unsourced profiles, 25 Casford profiles are listed listed here. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Isle_of_Wight_Unsourced_Profiles

I added a source to Martha's so she is no longer showing and Mary had not made it on the list although 3 other Marys are here.

Really appreciate that you are willing to assist in helping sort things with us.

Hi Brant

Thanks for your quick response.

I think that the list covers 7 generations Think you can add more.

For sources you can click the wiki Id look through the list click Research takes you to another page to assorted sites to use or research I think family search is the only pen non membership one. It is where I found records for Martha and Mary. Saw others on there to.

The Isle of Wight historical society have a good site from 1835 onwards.

Let me know if you would like the full link quite a number of Casford's on there

Best Wishes

Janet

Congratulation for adding your contributions in December. Whatever the quantity of your contributions, they all count. As we always say "Quality is better than quantity" to make a great family tree.

Hi Brant,

thanks for the email.

He can cut his GEDCOM in small parts to upload to GEDCOMpare. There he can compare his profiles with the ones already on Wikitree. Note that it is always better to have primary sources for each profile.

Guy

Hello, just a word (late) to congratulate you on the contributions you made during the month of November. Whatever the quantity, they are all important.

Your work is appreciated.

Thanks

Guy Constantineau

I follow 'Harshman' name tag & saw you made some updates & was curious. Coincidence, eh!! You should check out the book, Harshman, Reverand Charles W , S.T.B., PH.D. The Harshman Family A History and Geneology. Los Angeles, CA: Spanish American Institute Press, 1932. Made available by Exlibris Rosetta [1]

There's alot about Andrew & his descendants.

Hi. I see you're a descendant of Andrew Harshman. I am from his brother Christopher. Glad to meet you cousin!
Hi Brant, Just wanted to say "Congratulations" on receiving the yellow "Community" Star Badge recently. Your dedication to Wikitree has been truly a great help!
