Hello,

I am also a cousin. On my father's side through Francis Andrews (Warren line) and through William Kelsey (Blair line) through my mother's side. Welcome.

Melissa,

We are also cousins in a couple ways, one being Preserved Clapp and Sarah (Newberry) Clapp and another through the Taylors. No dice on the Warren line though... I'm a Jabez [Gray] Warren descendant there!

Good to meet you cousin!

Danielle,

Thanks for the thank you, cousin!

I will be working on the Warren and Sumner lines we share extensively. Hannah (Henchman) Sumner is our ancestor for the Magna Carta badged trail for Sarah (Woodward) Henchman, her mother. I was concerned that Richardson was the end all be all for profiles here and I want to present as many sources as possible to make an overwhelming case for profiles along our trails. I think that the records for Massachusetts and Connecticut bear out the fact that Hannah Sumner was indeed Hannah Henchman, daughter of Daniel and Sarah.

I have Ohio ancestors myself in Geauga County and Lake County from my Barnes, Clapp and Warren lines. I have also taken a large look at the Wilson line as they all intersected in Essex County, NY because of my brick wall Ray line.

On another note, I see we are also cousins through shared ancestors Robert Drury, Esq. and Ethelreda Rich (children Dorothy Drury and William Drury). This is also relevant because of the work I'm doing with Charles Barnes for the Magna Carta Project, for his great grandparents were the same, Robert Drury, Esq. and Ethelreda Rich. If you wish, I can keep you updated on the progress from their profiles back to the first undeveloped Magna Carta profile of Sir John Clavering.

Good to meet you!

Thank you!! I had to add a lot of my ancestors's profiles here... and it was pretty time consuming. Now I have the chance to do these improvements and it feels great to get that old Wikipedian feeling back again. I am really shocked as to how many profiles are weakly sourced or unsourced. It's fun for me though!

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After Adopting Orphans to understand what to do next.

Hi Danelle,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.

Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

Hi Danelle,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
