Since getting married in 1982, it has been a goal of mine to continue and combine my wife's and my family histories for our children, three now adult sons. Over the years, i compiled a massive "gedcom," only to find now that it is riddled with errors. There is much good in it, but so much needs to be started from scratch. Early on I paid little or no attention to identifying sources, so I have a long way to go. One line goes back to East Prussia and luckily I have enough command of German (in Fraktur), that I have been able to translate a good deal of Gesterding's book on families from Mecklenburg, of which mine is one.

I wish to be very careful not share family information that is not currently for public domain.
