I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

I’m Susie the new leader of the England Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you are currently involved, and how you would like to be involved moving forward. Please have a look at the England Project page for more information, and then contact either myself or Gillian to let us know what you’d like to do, or if you have any questions. We can then list your interests, help you join the team in the Google group forum for England, and give you any help you might need to get going. If we don’t hear back from you we’ll assume you no longer want to be a part of the England Project at this time.

I've added the United Kingdom Project badge to your profile as the England project is part of the UK Project. If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on England Project will take you the first page of the project. Scroll down to Member Interests. I've added your good self .

Shelia, to add your dad's DNA test information, just visit his profile, select the Breeding-109 menu at the top of the page, and select DNA. Switch to the "DNA Tests" tab on that page and you'll be able to add information about the test he took. It's really fun to see it propagate to all his close DNA relatives on the tree!

Hello Shelia, Wikitree has placed some restrictions on who can create and edit profiles that have a birth date pre-1500. Information about that and how to apply can be found here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pre-1500_Profiles In the meantime can you please not create pre-1500 profiles without a birth date such as Mackay-2028 and Mackay-2029. Thank you

If you already have or you are planning to upload a GEDCOM, you might want to check out Before You Import Your GEDCOM.

Keep in mind that our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.
