Hi 13th cousin! We share a 12th Great Grandfather:

Thank you for the merge. They are, indeed, the same person. I have most of my family tree details elsewhere. Your marriage date for Clement and Rebecca is correct. Also all of the children shown are correct. In total I show they had at least five. Francis, Joseph, Dodovah, Lydia (who married John Hawkins), and Jacob.

sincerely, James Paxton

Hi Jim, I think we now have Abigail Coit and her parents merged. I will check on straightening out the bios later. And check to see if there are any further merges needed in those lines.

Best, Angela

Thanks Jim. I added Abigail Coit's parents as unmerged matches. Check those out and let's coordinate dates and places and get those merged. You can just remove the unmerged match and propose the merges. We'll get this done.

Best, Angela

Hi Jim, I see you are proposing some merges with the Coits (Abigail). The parents will have to be merged first. Since it looks like you have only recently uploaded your gedcom, I just wanted to mention to be careful when merging that you merge into the lower numbered profile. Since these early Coits are part of the Great Puritan Migration project, we need to be very accurate with the data and the sources. Thanks, Angela

I see where you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

I have been researching our family tree for about 20 years. I tend to branch into peripheral connections of the families and neighborhood where I was raised. I agree with the mission of WikiTree and am willing to abide by the nine simple rules.
