DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Peter or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peter:

Hello Peter,

Thank you for adding your DNA Test information to your profile on WikiTree. Your information will be propagated to the profiles of your parents and your ancestors within about 24 hours of being added. It will also propagate to the profiles of the descendants of your ancestors, so they may see your information under the heading "DNA Connections" just as you can see theirs.

Getting started with DNA outlines how to proceed to use your DNA test information on WikiTree and DNA is a link to a collection of links about WikiTree's many features involving DNA.

The DNA Connections list on your profile will provide a visual way for you to find potential relatives on WikiTree who have also added their DNA test information. Using DNA tools at sites like GEDMatch.com, if you find a relative that matches your DNA sufficiently and you have genealogical sources for the intermediate relationships, you can mark the specific parental relationships back to the most recent ancestor that you both share as "confirmed with DNA." For details, guidance, and examples of how to properly document DNA confirmations, see DNA confirmation.

To find other potential relatives, continue adding sourced profiles for other lines until you can connect on all branches. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches that relate to the particular branches you are researching.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Thanks for merging the Howell and Sweeny profiles so promptly, Peter. We can now keep moving forward.

Hi Peter, I notice that you recently created Anne Sinclair, which is a pre-1700 profile. Using an online tree isn't considered to be a reliable source for pre-1700 profiles. You might consider liaising with the Scotland project for guidance about reliable sources in Scotland. Thanks. Gillian

Hello Peter,

My father's grandmother was born Emily Warwick in 1870. Her father Henry Warwick was apparently a domestic coachman. He married Ann Honora Nagle, also known as Hannah and Norah, in 1869. Not sure if you have any further info or whether these Warwicks are even in your line. Emily Warwick married my great grandfather Charles Henry Craddock in 1897.

regards,

Darren

Thanks Peter for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches date of profile and avoid abbreviations. Citations & links for sources enable verification of data please add from wiki ID go to Research to find sources

The England would be of interest. Adding the tag ENGLAND will provide updates about the project.

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals & tasks of the project join if it fist

Any questions please ask

Hi Peter,

A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!

Click here to start with our New Member How-To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.

Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
