I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
I received this email this morning and as it is relate to to your Henrietta Fish I am forwarding it to you.
It was sent to me yesterday.
(I am afraid I couldn’t find any record of a grave in the church yard at St Peter & St Paul great Bowden of John Fish. That doesn’t mean that he wasn’t buried there. Unfortunately the Victorians used the grave stones for all sorts of things when they renovated the church in 1870’s. We have found them under the floor being used for the old heating ducts, and they also lined a lot of them up at the front of the church after being stopped from using them as paving stones, so they are not where the graves are. We do however have a monument in the church to Henrietta Fish, 13.1.1703 wife of Augustine Fish, gentleman. Daughter of Sir Edward Farmer of Kensington, Middlesex, leaving Constantia, Mary, Henrietta, John and Susanna. I don’t know whether that helps. All our old records are held in the Wigston registry office, so you may be able to find more there.
Thanks for your comment on Asa Varnum. It certainly looks possible that those records refer to his wife & child and merits investigation. Is it your line?
Hi David, you left a comment on the profile for John Fish regarding the baptisms listed there. They are for him and his siblings, not his children. I've changed the wording so that, hopefully, will clarify it. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks so much for the information on John Whitcomb. I was able to verify that he married Susannah Geary and find her already on WikiTree and connect them as well as add their two children. Thanks again!!
Hey David, thanks for the info on William Huston. That's a great story. I would be happy to have you add any info our sources you have for him. I added him as the brother of Martha but hadn't got as on d to added sources yet. You welcome to be a co-admin if you want.
Hi David. There are only a few documents that I have been able to find which have Helen's name on them, and each has preferred Helen M or Helen Mary. I have added a few links to those that are easily accessible on the web to her profile. I very much appreciate your caring about the accuracy of your profiles :) Thanks for all of your hard work!
Hi David, You added a spouse and a child to John Palmer's profile but you didn't add the source documentation. Could you please do that? Thanks much, Janis
