HI, I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Merging FAQs to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. Thanks so much for helping improve Wikitree! If you have any questions, just let me know.
I have no further information on Elizabeth Husted, she was linked to my ancestors and I was comparing birth and death dates in that line and noticed that it had inconsistencies. sorry

Thank you for your message, "Sussanah Smith was imported with my GEDCOM as the wife of Bates-691 and Mother of Bates-686. There is a profile for her but it just says "Unknown". Bates-202130. I am hesitant to merge my imported Sussanah Smith until I do so more research as the only source I have for these relationships right now is Ancestory.com. I am going to check the original source in Ancestory before I merge. What was the duplicate profile WikiId you are concerned about?" I have no idea about the duplicate profile. If I initiated a merge it would have mentioned both ID numbers. If not, no worries.
Green is "Public" which means only people on the trusted list can make changes.
White is "Open" which means anyone can make changes including attaching other profiles. All profiles of people over 200 years old must be open.
You can check to see if the profile manager is active by going to their profile page and clicking contributions to see when they last made a contribution.
Some people who do not make frequent contributions still respond to request, so we wait 10 days.
If they already have a profile you should be able to just add the WikiTree ID unless it directs you at the top to request to be added to the trusted list. That means the manager of the profile you want to attach has to grant you permission because the privacy level (colored tab too right) is not white or open. It is probably green (public)
Click where it says to request to be on the trusted list. If they add you, you will receive an email telling you. If you wait 10 days and no email let me know.
Okay, I see. This will be easy. Just go to Jesse and click edit. Then on the right right of the edit page click add father. Then it will open a screen where you can add the info.
If you have trouble I can do it for you. Just let me know.
