Hi Anna,

I am a direct descendant of Capt. James Kell, father of Alexander Kell, father of Elizabeth Kell who married Lewis Ralston.

You have David Kell listed as the father of Capt. James Kell. I would like to hear more about how you learned this. My family has been unable to find any information on James' parents.

Much appreciated, Steven Kell

Henderson-6933: Do you have a source for Samuel Henderson or the name of his wife? Anything that could lead us to a correct death date? We'll need to get a pre-1500 certified to correct, but you could post the a death date on his profile. Thanks! Trying to get those DB errors corrected.
Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi  again Anna. Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community.   Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.  It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.  Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code.  This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community.   We have many friendly members, feel  free to ask if you have any questions. ** Please see my other comment. Thank you for the information Bill! I am willing to help in any way I can, as I search as well. :)
Volunteer Button Anna. You clicked on the volunteer button indicating that you would like to collaborate and add family information. If that’s correct please leave another comment here on your profile to indicate your willingness to help build the “Tree”, and one of the Greeters will be happy to add you as a member of WikiTree.

If you just want to explore and search for relatives or family information you can do that as a guest without volunteering.

To help you with your search, check out the “Find” button. Clicking the “Matches for family”or the “Surnames” buttons may show you the way to some family info or connections.

In the “Help” area you can post questions in the G2G forum. We have a lot of people who are willing to help. Just ask. Good Luck.

Hi, When I was a child one of my aunts did research into our family lineage. She had to travel and do a lot by meeting people and asking them questions. I'm so thankful for the time she put into that and now I'm trying to find out more for my children who we have been blessed to have adopted. I want to give them that same sense of history.
