Biography
Edward Henry A'Court was baptised/born on 10 Dec 1783. He was the son of Sir William Pierce Ashe A'Court, 1st Bt. of Heytesbury and his 2nd wife, Letitia Wyndham, da. of Henry Wyndham of The Close, Salisbury.

Education
Edward Henry A'Court went to Portsmouth Naval Academy in 1796 at the age of 23.
He gained the rank of Vice Admiral. [1]
Edward never married. He took the name "Repington" by royal licence on 24 Sep 1847. He did this in accordance with the will of his father's first cousin, Charles Edward Repington, who, upon his death in 1837m had gifted him £30,000 and Amington Hall in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. [2]
He held the office of Member of Parliament
for Heytesbury (1820-1832)
and for Tamworth, Staffordshire (1837-1847) [3]
