91st Division is penciled in on the headstone application and his findagrave site was tagged by a WW1 91st division historian.

He was living in Montana in 1917 when he signed his draft card.

According to in  Border Crossings: From U.S. to Canada, 1908-1935 on Ancestry he went to Canada in February 1920. This is probably why I cannot find a 1920 census for him.

In 1930 he was living in Grand Forks, ND.
