Biography

John was born on 6 June 1877 in Richland, North Dakota. He was the son of Lars Andreasen Aanderud and Johanne Karine Askegaard. Dakota Territory.[1][2]

John was baptised on 19 August 1877 in Harwood, Cass, North Dakota.[3]

In 1880 John (age about 2) was living in [1]. Richland County, Dakota Territory, USA.[4]

In the 1900 census John (age 22) was living in Township 151, Benson, North Dakota. Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head: Head.[6]

In 1910 John (age about 32) was living in Arne, Benson, North Dakota. Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head: Head.[7][8]

When John was 33 he married Martina Waagen on 10 July 1910 in Maddock, Benson, North Dakota. The couple had 10 children: Elmira Dolores Kennewell, Tilford Eugene Aanderud, Marlys Lois Aanderud, Helen B Aanderud, Stacy Malfred Aanderud, Erwin Rudolph Aanderud, Jessie Luella Aanderud, Kermit Orlando Aanderud, Gerald Jocelyn Aanderud and Harland Ulyses Aanderud. 1910 Census indicates they had been married less than a year. Hints from others suggested this date. No records to confirm it.
