Maurice Abat is a part of US Black heritage.

Maurice Abat, son of Norbert Abat and Clementine (Lemelle) Abat, was baptized age 20 months on 18 March 1838, his baptism was recorded at St. Martin of Tours, St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana. [1]

Maurice died age 11 years on 18 Aug. 1845 at St. Martin Parish. [1]
