Biography

Truman Abbe was born 1 November 1873 at 1825 I Street in Washington, D.C. to Cleveland Abbe and Frances Martha Neal. He was a surgeon and professor of medicine.[1]

He married Ethel Ethel Whipple Brown, daughter of Reginald Channing Brown Maria Rhodes Field on 22 April 1905 in Providence, Rhode Island.[1]

They had five children.

Truman was a primary compiler of an extensive genealogy on the Colgate family, Robert Colgate, the Immigrant: a Genealogy of the New York Colgates And Some Associated Lines, which is cited here and in other Colgate profiles on Wikitree.

Truman died 2 May 1955 in Washington, D.C.[2]
