Biography

Alexander, son of William Gillies Abbie and Margaret (Carrick) Abbie,^[1] was born on 25 February 1904^[2] in Edinburgh, Midlothain, Scotland.

Alexander migrated to Canada (with his mother and siblings) aboard the ship Letitia in May 1912 arriving in Quebec City, Quebec destined for Vancouver, British Columbia (to join his father who had travelled the year before)^[3]

Alexander (age 23) married Jane Morgan (age 23) on 22 August 1928 in Vancouver, British Columbia.^[1]

Alexander died at the age of 62 on 24 February 1967 in Contra Costa County, California, USA.^[2]
