BENJAMIN ABBOT, b. at Concord, 10 Feb 1749/50 son of Benjamin Abbot and Hannah Abbot;^[1] d. at Concord, 11 Dec 1815;^[2] m. 29 Jan 1778,^[3] Sarah Brown, b. at Kingston, NH, 13 Feb 1758 daughter of Daniel and Ruth (Morrill) Brown;^[4] Sarah d. at Concord, 27 Sep 1801.^[5] Benjamin m. 2nd at Salisbury, NH, 17 Jun 1805,^[6] HANNAH GREENLEAF, b. about 1759; Hannah d. at Franklin, NH, 15 Mar 1831.^[7]

Benjamin Abbot served in the Revolutionary War with the rank of Sergeant under the commands of Captain Gordon Hutchins and Colonel John Stark. ^{[8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]} He participated in the Battle of Bunker Hill. ^[14]

Benjamin Abbot wrote his will 19 October 1815. His beloved wife Hannah receives the improvements of one-third part of the real and personal estate. Son Ephraim Abbot and daughter Hannah Hall each receives one dollar. Daughter Ruth Morrill Hall receives two dollars as does daughter Sarah Noyes. Son Isaac receives ten dollars and daughter Abigail Baker receives five dollars. Daughter Permelia receives fifty dollars and son Theodore Thomas Abbot receives four dollars. Son Benjamin Abbot receives all the remainder of the estate and is also named executor. ^[15]

Benjamin Abbot and Sarah Brown had nine children whose births are recorded at Concord. ^[16]

Ephraim m. 2nd, 21 Jan 1830, ABIGAIL WHITING BANCROFT, b. at Groton, 1797 daughter of Amos and Abigail (Whiting) Bancroft; Abigail d. at Groton, 17 May 1886.
2. Hannah Abbot, b. 9 Mar 1782; d. at Westford, MA, 5 Apr 1869; m. 15 Nov 1803, her second cousin once removed, EBENEZER HALL, b. 9 May 1778 son of Daniel and Deborah (Davis) Hall; Ebenezer d. 14 Oct 1853.
3. Ruth Morrill Abbot, b. 27 Jun 1784; d. after 1860 (living in Concord at the 1860 U.S. Census); m. 26 Nov 1805, her second cousin once removed, JAMES HALL, b. 1784 son of Daniel and Deborah (Davis) Hall.

6. Abigail Lawrence Abbot, b. 20 May 1791; d. at Chicopee, MA, 5 Dec 1856; m. 9 Feb 1809, SETH BAKER, b. at Pembroke, 21 May 1783 son of Thomas and Ruth (Peabody) Baker; Seth d. 30 Apr 1865.
7. Isaac Abbott, b. 3 Aug 1793; d. 12 Nov 1840; m. 7 May 1817, SUSAN ELA, b. at Hooksett, 7 Jan 1797 daughter of Israel and Zebiah (Martin) Ela.^[17] Susan was living in 1880 when she was at the home of her daughter Fanny and her husband Leonard Beard.^[18]
8. Permelia Abbot, b. 1 Feb 1796; d. at Pewaukee, WI, 1872; m. 7 Nov 1816, NATHANIEL GOSS, b. at Greenland, NH, 3 Nov 1788 son of Nathaniel and Mary (Nye) Goss; Nathaniel d. at Pewaukee, 7 Jul 1855.
9. Theodore Thomas Abbott, b. 22 Mar 1799; d. at Lunenburg, MA, 23 Mar 1887; m. at Lowell, 7 Aug 1826, MEHITABLE FROST GREENOUGH, b. at Newburyport, 1 Jan 1800 daughter of John and Elizabeth “Betsy” (March) Greenough; Mehitable d. 28 Mar 1887.
