Biography

William the Centenarian

William Abbot 2nd (1632 -1733)

The location of William Abbot 2nd burial place was found in his son's will. His son stated he wanted to be buried as close as possible to "his honourable Father" in the Churchyard at Battersea, Surrey.[1]Both William's are there - Father and Son, and this is recorded in a publication from 1792. The author felt that William Abbot the first, deserved mention. He was 101 years old when he died in January 1733, buried on the 5th.

Research Notes

William Abbot 2nd (1632 - 1733) Was he 87 years of age when he fathered/Sired a Son ? or was William Abbot 3rd (1717 - 1768) his GRANDSON? There is likely to have been an extra generation between this profile named as the 2nd William Abbot and that of the profile named the 3rd William Abbot. This will need further research.
