In 1861, George was the unnamed infant son in his parents' home in Bethnal Green. His father was a bricklayer's labourer. George had an older sibling named Stephen. ^[2]

In 1871, George was ten-years-old and living with his parents and four brothers in the same area. ^[3]

In 1881, George married Phoebe Lesurf. The marriage was registered in Bethnal Green, Middlesex. ^[4]

In 1901, George and his wife were residing in Bow, Middlesex. The couple had eight children. George was a 40-year-old iron safe maker. ^[5]

George passed away in 1907 at the age of 46. His death was registered in Poplar, Middlesex. ^[6]
