Edward Abbott was born about Jun 1822, and christened on 9 June 1822 in Gussage-All-Saints, Dorset, England.[1] (About 1823 in Halstock, according to the 1871 census[2]) His parents were Richard and Elizabeth Abbott.[1]
In the 1841 England census, Edward Abbott (18) was living in Halstock, Dorset, with mother Elizabeth Abbott (45) and siblings Richard (21) and Robert (14).[3]
Edward lived with his widowed mother.[4][5] She died in 1870 (burial Dec 1870).
He married a widow, Sarah Frampton, on 5 Mar 1871 in Dorset.[6][7]
In the 1871 England census, Edward Abbott (48) was married to Sarah Abbott (48). They were living in Halstock, with her two children from prior marriage, George H Frampton (16) and Emily Frampton (8). He was an agricultural laborer.[2]
Edward Abbott, age 68, died in 1891; he was buried on 19 Mar 1891 in Halstock, Dorset, England.[8][9]
