Elizabeth Copeland was the daughter of Dennis and Martha Copeland, residents of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina at the time of her birth. According to DAR records ? (#637236) Also: ? (#32969696) she was born in 1785. Note: Both of the preceding DAR #'s appear to be incorrect DAR #'s, as the page link for each #, shows no record for a Elizabeth Copeland. Elizabeth Copeland married James Abbott. He died in 1803. Elizabeth is in the 1810 Iredell County, North Carolina census.
