Clarence Thomas Abbott was born on 11 February 1918 in Caulfield, Victoria, Australia, son of Alison Katie (Lee) Abbott and Clarence Charles Percy Abbott.[1] [2]
Clarence Thomas Abbott served in World War 2 with the Australian Army and attained the rank of Private. His service Number was V122086. He enlisted on 12 August 1940 at WESTGARTH, VIC. His next of kin was Abbott, Clarence. When he enlisted he was living at Alphington, Victoria. [2]
He died of injuries in active service in Brisbane, Queensland on 1 April 1944, aged 26 years. His posting when he died was A SUB HQ KIT STORE. [2] [3] His name is located at panel 94 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.[3]
