Biography

Alessio was born in 1842 to Giuseppe Abbruzzo, a farmer, and Audenzia Gennusa ^[1]. His father died when he was a child and his mother remarried when he was about 8. In 1869 at age 27 he married 31-year-old Felicia Insinga ^[2].
