Biography
Archibald Abel was born about 1893 in Echt, son of John Abel and Mary Ann Smart. Archibald's father John died in 1897In the 1901 census, Archibald, age 8, was with his Mother Mary, a Boarding Hotel Keeper, at 84 Bon Accord St in Aberdeen. Also there was his brother Charles, both shown as Boarder/Lodgers. Also there were several Students of Medicine and a Joiner.
Per Liz Blair, an Abel descendant, Archibald was last heard from in 1922 while serving in the Merchant Navy. There is an Archibald Abel b 1893 listed in the Merchant Navy 1918-1919[1].
