Biography
Obadiah Able was born about 1814 in South Carolina.
He married Nancy Swanson on 4 Feb. 1845 in Murray, Georgia.[1]
He was a laborer when he and Nancy appeared on the census of 2 Sep. 1850 at Murray, Georgia.[2] He was a shoemaker when he and Nancy appeared on the census of 14 July 1860 at Dalton, Whitfield, Georgia.[3] He was a boot maker when he and Nancy appeared on the census of Aug. 1870 at Marion, Lawrence, Indiana.[4]
Obadiah seems to have died before 1880 in Lawrence County, Indiana as Nancy is a widow in the 1880 census.
